Manage Credentials

Note

You have access to your organization’s credentials — those you have created or that the instance administrator has shared with you.

Access: domain Organization > inventory_2 Inventory > password Credentials.

Create a Credential

  1. Go to inventory_2 Inventory > password Credentials.

  2. Click New credential.

  3. Choose a Type: URL, Login or SSH Key. The form fields adapt depending on the type selected.

  4. Select a Provider — the vault where this credential will be stored.

  5. Fill in the credential fields for the selected type.

  6. Optionally, set a Group access by designating a Managing group — administrators of that group will be able to edit this credential.

  7. Add a comment if needed, then click Create.

Assign a Credential to a Container Profile

  1. Go to inventory_2 Inventory > box_edit Container Profiles.

  2. Click on the container profile of your choice.

  3. In the window that opens, go to the Credentials tab and click Assign credentials.

  4. Click Assign next to the desired credentials.

  5. Click Done to close the form window.
